Step 1

Start by making a new image 700 by 200 pixels with a white background.

Create a new layer [ Layers > New Raster Layer... > Ok ].

On the Materials palette, click on the Foreground color and select the Color tab. Set the color to #a0a29f > Ok.

Set the Background color to #64605f

On the Materials palette, click on the Foreground color and select the Gradient tab. Click on the image to open the available gradients. Select Foreground - background then OK.

Use the following settings:

Use the Flood Fill Tool (F) and fill the layer.

Step 2

Layers > New Raster Layer... > Ok

Choose the Selection Tool (S) > Selection type: Rounded Rectangle. Draw our rounded box on our canvas like so:

Click on the Foreground color again and select the Gradient tab. Click on the image to open the available gradients. Select Foreground-background only this time remove the check mark from Invert :

Use the Flood Fill Tool(F) and fill the selection.

Selections > Select None.

Step 3

Now the fun part!

Select the Raster Deform Tool (D). You should now see that our image has several small square points around it.

Place your mouse on the bottom left corner, then, hold down on the Ctrl key on your keyboard and move the corner to the right:

Now on your keyboard, perform each of these steps in sequence:
Ctrl A
Ctrl F
Ctrl Shift F

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Save Selection To Alpha Channel... > Save.

Step 4

Layers > New Raster Layer... > OK

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Load.

Selections > Modify > Contract > Number of pixels: 4 > Ok.

On the Materials palette, click on the Foreground color and select the Color tab. Set the color to black (#000000) > Ok.

Use the Flood Fill Tool(F) and fill the selection.

Step 5

Layers > New Raster Layer... > OK

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Load.

Selections > Modify > Contract > Number of pixels: 12 > Ok.

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Save Selection To Alpha Channel... > Save.

On the Materials palette, click on the Foreground color and select the Color tab. Set the color to #b84702 > Ok.

Use the Flood Fill Tool(F) and fill the selection.

Step 6

Layers > New Raster Layer... > OK

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Click on the image and choose Selection #2 > Load.

Selections > Modify > Contract > Number of pixels: 8 > Ok.

Selection Tool (S) > Selection type: Rectangle

Hold down on the Ctrl key on your keyboard while at the same time selecting the bottom half of the image. What you should have left is this:

On the Materials palette, click on the Foreground color and select the Color tab. Set the color to #ea6e23 > Ok.

Use the Flood Fill Tool(F) and fill the selection.

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Click on the image and choose Selection #2 > Load.

Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur > Radius: 8 > OK.

Step 7

Now lets work on the bottom half.

Layers > New Raster Layer... > OK

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Click on the image and choose Selection #2 > Load.

Selections > Modify > Contract > Number of pixels: 8 > Ok.

Selection Tool (S) > Selection type: Rectangle

Hold down on the Ctrl key on your keyboard while at the same time selecting the Top half of the image. What you should have left is this:

On the Materials palette, click on the Foreground color and select the Color tab. Set the color to #e6b01e> Ok.

Use the Flood Fill Tool(F) and fill the selection.

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Click on the image and choose Selection #2 > Load.

Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur > Radius: 8 > OK.

Step 8

Layers > New Raster Layer... > OK

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Click on the image and choose Selection #2 > Load.

Selections > Modify > Contract > Number of pixels: 4 > Ok.

Selection Tool (S) > Selection type: Ellipse

Just as we did in step 7 above, hold down on the Ctrl key on your keyboard we want to start towards the bottom of our image and select upwards and out to give our selection a slight bow on the bottom like this:

On the Materials palette, click on the Foreground color and select the Color tab. Set the color to #ffffff> Ok.

Use the Flood Fill Tool(F) and fill the selection.

Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection From Alpha Channel... > Click on the image and choose Selection #2 > Load.

Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur > Radius: 8 > OK.

Now you can adjust the brightness from the Layers palette to your liking.
