He'll show you what works, and what doesn't. Whether your photographs are new or old, digital or print, color or black–and–white, this book covers practically all aspects of the restoration and retouching process from lighting, color, contrast, tears, to scratches and other blemishes.
Being Paint Shop Pro users ourselves, we were a bit skeptical when Robert invited us to review his new book. For our personal use, we have always used the program primarily for web graphic design, and shied away from the photography end of it. Now, it looks like that's going to change. Robert's book has been very educational for us and opened up quite a few new doors. Once we started reading, we began trying some of the techniques he presents and found that the results were far better than we had expected. The step-by-step lessons and illustrations are very easy to follow and understand.
With in depth explanations on how to use the clone brush, layers, different opacity levels, and the different filters and effects within the scopes of Paint Shop Pro Photo, anyone wanting to break into the photography restoration business, will find that this is a most helpful and must have book. While we contemplated sharing some of our re-touched photographs with our visitors, we've decided to wait until we have a lot more practice with that new thinify tool!
All levels of photographers, whether amateur or professional will find that this book is top class in quality, and the logical presentation of materials is certainly a refreshing addition to anyone's Paint Shop Pro/Photo book collection. This fantastic guide is packed with lots of screen shots, tips, and techniques to turn your photos into great masterpieces and memories.
